Great atmosphere, friendly staff and volunteers. Safe space for all. Brilliant board games.

I always love going into Cake or Dice! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and create such an accepting atmosphere. They have a great board game selection, and the hot chocolate and milkshakes are delicious (I haven't actually tried the food, so the food part of my review is solely for the drinks). One of my favourite parts of Cake or Dice are all the items from independent businesses for sale. I love taking my time to look around at what's new, and it makes the place feel so colourful! I don't travel to Dundee very much, but whenever I do I always try and time it to a day/time when Cake or Dice is open so I can pop in! The only downside I can think of is there is no parking, however it is just a short walk from the city centre, so it's not enough of a detriment to lose a star in my opinion. All in all, I would 100% recommend visiting Cake or Dice ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We always get a friendly welcome when we pop in here. Nice space to catch up with friends, play some games or simply to sit and chill. Good selection of food and snacks and the coffee is great, especially and it's served in lovely big mugs, giving that homely feel to the place. I thoroughly recommend the Mango and Chicken salad, it tastes as great as it looks!

This is a regular Friday night hunt for us and honestly I love it so much. It can be a little loud (full of joy and people happily playing board games and drinking coffee and eating sandwiches) but the energy of the entire venue is top tier. It’s such a friendly and welcoming environment with a very strong community. The shop stands around the cafe are full of delightful locally made crafts and nerdy stuff and the owners always have the most lovely welcoming smiles on their faces.

A great social venue, staff are all extremely friendly. I've attended some arts and crafts events here and come down regularly for a weekly game night - excellent for meeting new people who share interests. Diverse range of ages and a massive selection of board games and tabletop available to rent if you're looking for something fun to do on an afternoon or evening. It's not all games-focused though, I often see people just in for a coffee and a chat or for some lunch. Lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Lovely place. Staff are very helpful and inclusive. Food is great especially the cakes. Wide selection of board games and trinkets from local artists to look at. Overall, good place to hang with friends or even by yourself and is a great place to meet new people from all walks of life.

Cake or Dice is a Lovely independent nook of fun in Dundee. It's filled with plenty of character and a great atmosphere. I also enjoy the workshops put on that really gives a sense of community in such a populated area. The food is decent, well priced and recommend also, my only suggestion if not already implemented. would be no food zones given the activities about to prevent damage to games ect. I would recommend for anyone above the age of thirteen, or young adults.

I love it here. Affordable tasty food, friendly staff, and a great selection of board games. They run lots of arts & crafts workshops too, and I’ve really enjoyed the ones I’ve been too. I also like that they sell a variety of cool dice, jewellery, accessories, stickers and gifts made by local independent artists.
